MINUTES OF THE WORKSHOP MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />APRIL 26, 2017 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a workshop meeting of the City Council <br />of Little Canada, Minnesota was convened on the 26t" day of April, 2017 in the <br />Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 Little Canada Road in said <br />City. <br />Mayor John Keis called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. and the following <br />members of the City Council were present at roll call: <br />CITY COUNCIL: <br />ALSO PRESENT: <br />Mayor <br />Council Member <br />Council Member <br />Council Member <br />Council Member <br />City Administrator <br />Associate Planner <br />Ramsey Cty Sheriff Dept. <br />City Clerk <br />Mr. John Keis <br />Mr. Christian Torkelson <br />Mr. Tom Fischer <br />Mr. Mike McGraw <br />Mr. Rick Montour <br />Mr. Joel Hanson <br />Ms. Jessica Jagoe <br />Cmdr. Rich Clark <br />Ms. Heidi Heller <br />2017 GOALS Mayor Keis stated that the purpose of this evening's workshop is to discuss the <br />ACTION PLANS action plans for the 2017 adopted goals. <br />The City Administrator explained that the Community Engagement goal has <br />many sub -topics. Keis stated that this goal has so many items that maybe the list <br />should be prioritized and narrowed down. Fischer noted that in the future, the <br />goals should be more focused with not so many items added in to it. The City <br />Administrator read through the list and stated that many of the items should not <br />be too difficult to at least get started on. He noted that all of the items could be <br />left on the list for now and evaluated further later on. McGraw asked what the <br />City could really do to increase voter turnout. The City Administrator stated <br />that we already offer very good customer service and accessibility during <br />elections. Keis asked what the City could do about ensuring public input on <br />county road improvement projects. The City Administrator stated that the <br />County does contact the City when they have a project in the city planned, and <br />we can ask for additional work if there is something specific that we want. <br />The City Administrator stated that there should be a communications plan if a <br />police incident occurs. Commander Clark stated that he would like a list of <br />Council member contacts and he will get a list of Sheriff's Department contacts <br />
