MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING CITY COUNCIL LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA MAY 17, 2017 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a special meeting of the City Council of Little Canada, Minnesota was convened on the 17th day of May, 2017 in the Council Chambers Room of the City Center located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City after proper public notice. Mayor John Keis called the meeting to order at 5:15 p.m. and the following members of the City Council were present at roll call: CITY COUNCIL: Mayor Mr. John Keis ABSENT: ALSO PRESENT: Council Member Council Member Council Member Council Member Parks & Rec. Chair City Administrator Parks &Rec/Comm. Serv. City Clerk Resident Mr. Tom Fischer Mr. Christian Torkelson Mr. Mike McGraw Mr. Rick Montour Mr. Dave Miller Mr. Joel R. Hanson Mr. Bryce Shearen Ms. Heidi Heller Ms. Anna Leibel PARKS MASTER The City Council conducted interviews with consulting firms MSA (5:15 PLAN p.m.), Northwest Associated Consultants (6:00 p.m.), SEH (7:15 p.m.) and CONSULTANT WSB (8:00 p.m.) to create a Parks Master Plan for the City. These four INTERVIEWS firms were selected for further consideration after reviewing the written proposals that were submitted to the City. The interviews consisted of allowing the consultants to present their proposal, along with nine general questions asked by the Parks & Rec/Community Services Manager. At the conclusion of the interviews, the Council, City Staff and Parks & Recreation Commissioner in attendance, deliberated on the merits of each consulting firm and the long term needs for the city parks. After this discussion, the consensus of those present was to have the City Administrator contact the attendees from MSA, SEH and WSB and ask additional questions prior to the City Council making a final decision on a consulting firm to create the Parks Master Plan.
