STAFF REPORT

TO: Parks & Recreation Commission

FROM: Heidi Heller, City Clerk

DATE: December 30, 2016

RE: Discuss Savage Lake Access

The Parks & Recreation Commission has been discussing a proposal to add a public access to
Savage Lake. A resident in the area of Lakeshore Avenue asked the City Council to consider
building a public access to Savage Lake. The Parks & Rec Commission wants to involve the
immediate neighborhood to find out how the residents feel about the idea before moving
forward. The Commission should decide which properties in the area they want involved, the
process and date for the discussion with the neighborhood, and what the mailing should include.
A map is included to mark which properties should be included in the discussion about an
access.
