CREATING PUBLIC ACCESS ON SAVAGE LAKE MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA November 3, 2016 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Parks & Recreation Commission of the City of Little Canada, Minnesota, was held on the 3rd of November in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 Little Canada Road East in said city. Chair Dave Miller called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. and the following members of the commission were present: MEMBERS PRESENT: Ms. Rose Chu Ms. Sharen Darling Mr. Dave Miller Mr. Peter Schletty Ms. Patti Sullivan ABSENT: Mr. Ron Horwath Mr. Tom Ray ALSO PRESENT: Mr. Jim Morelan, Parks and Rec. Director Ms. Katie McGinnity, Rec. Supervisor Mr. Joel Hanson, City Administrator Mr. Bill Sanders, Parks Consultant Ms. Vanessa Van Alstine, Cable TV Prod. Mr. Kevin Schmitz, CTV Sullivan made a motion to approve the minutes from the October meeting with the correction of the meeting date to October 6th. The minutes stated the meeting was October 5th. Schletty seconded the motion. The motion passed 5 – 0. Chair Miller asked if there was any further discussion on the prioritization list. He noted the Commission would be discussing the list with the City Council on November 16th at the joint workshop meeting. The Director explained he had left the list on the agenda to make sure that everyone was comfortable with the order. Chair Miller stated the Commission could look at the list further at the workshop. The Director asked the Commission how they would like to gather input from residents regarding creating public access on Savage Lake. Darling asked how the public access was requested.
