MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />January 5, 2017 <br /> <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Parks & <br />Recreation Commission of the City of Little Canada, Minnesota, was held on <br />the 5th of January in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road East in said city. <br /> <br /> Chair Dave Miller called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. and the following <br />members of the commission were present: <br /> <br /> MEMBERS PRESENT: Ms. Rose Chu <br /> Ms. Sharen Darling <br /> Mr. Ron Horwath <br /> Mr. Dave Miller <br /> Mr. Tom Ray <br /> Mr. Peter Schletty <br />Ms. Patti Sullivan <br /> <br /> ALSO PRESENT: Ms. Katie McGinnity, Rec. Supervisor <br /> Mr. Joel Hanson, City Administrator <br /> Ms. Vanessa Van Alstine Cable TV Prod. <br /> Mr. Kevin Helander Cable TV Producer <br /> <br /> <br />Schletty made a motion to approve the minutes from the December <br />meeting. Ray seconded the motion. The motion passed 7 – 0. <br /> <br /> <br />CHAIR <br />APPOINTMENT It was reported that Mayor Keis had appointed Dave Miller as Chair of the <br />Commission for 2017 and this was ratified by the City Council. <br /> <br /> <br />Ray nominated Ron Horwath for the position of Vice Chair. Horwath <br />accepted the nomination. Darling seconded the motion. The motion was <br />unanimously approved. <br /> <br /> <br /> The City Administrator reported the only change was the addition of a <br />Strategic Planning Task to reflect Chu’s comment at the previous meeting. <br />The added wording is as follows, “The provision ensures that the Parks <br />and Recreation Department remains responsive to changing conditions <br />within the Parks and Recreation Field and to the needs of our citizens.” <br />MINUTES <br />PARKS AND <br />RECREATION <br />JOB <br />DESCRIPTION <br />VICE CHAIR <br />ELECTION
