Chair Miller stated they would review the survey
at the next meeting.

The Recreation Supervisor reported the next Market Place Morning Talk
topic would be about senior housing on January 11, 2017.

The Recreation Supervisor reported the Little Canada Recreation
Association’s Ice Fishing Contest would be on February 4th on Gervais
Lake in conjunction with the Little Canada Fire Department Booya.

The Recreation Supervisor announced the Old Fire Hall ice rink was
opened on December 14th and the ice rink behind Roseville Area Middle
School was opened on December 18th. Both were closed for a short time
due to the warm temperatures and rain, but they were opened again on
December 27th. Both warming houses are open weekdays from 4:00pm –
9:00pm and on weekends from 10:00am – 9:00pm.

The Recreation supervisor reported winter gymnastics was running with
11 participants. She explained the second half of basketball was underway
and skating lessons were just getting started with eight participants. Chu
asked the Recreation Supervisor to send the flyer to the Commission so
they could share it with others.

Sullivan asked the City Administrator about current demolition projects
going on at City acquired properties. The City Administrator stated the
City was demolishing four houses at 331 Little Canada Road, 30 Little
Canada Road, 56 Little Canada Road, and 2801 Country Drive. He
explained the City had waited to do them all at once because 331 Little
Canada Road would generate excess fill which could then be used to fill
the basements of the other properties. He explained 331 Little Canada
Road was purchased to expand the Fire Department parking lot, 31 and 56
Little Canada Road were purchased for park development, and 2801
Country Drive was purchased for the area’s redevelopment objectives.

Chair Miller moved the meeting be adjourned
Motion seconded by Ray.
Motion carried 7 – 0.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:02 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,

Anna Leibel
Recording Secretary
OTHER
BUSINESS
ADJOURN
