SURVEY DRAFT REVIEW: PUBLIC ACCESS ON SAVAGE LAKE MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA March 2, 2017 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Parks & Recreation Commission of the City of Little Canada, Minnesota, was held on the 2nd of March in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 Little Canada Road East in said city. Chair Dave Miller called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. and the following members of the commission were present: MEMBERS PRESENT: Ms. Sharen Darling Mr. Ron Horwath Mr. Dave Miller Mr. Tom Ray Mr. Peter Schletty Ms. Patti Sullivan ABSENT: Ms. Rose Chu ALSO PRESENT: Ms. Katie McGinnity, Rec. Supervisor Mr. Joel Hanson, City Administrator Mr. Tom Fischer, City Council Member Ms. Vanessa Van Alstine Cable TV Prod. Mr. Kevin Helander Cable TV Producer Horwath made a motion to approve the minutes from the February meeting. Ray seconded the motion. The motion passed 6 – 0. The City Administrator reported he had updated the survey to reflect the Commission’s comments at the last meeting. The new version also included minor changes suggested by Councilman Fischer. The City Administrator asked the Commission to review the survey for any final changes. He explained the survey would be advertised in the upcoming newsletter. Councilman Fischer stated he had suggested a few wording changes regarding how respondents can take the survey and minor changes to a few of the questions. Horwath agreed the changes made the survey more understandable. Schletty suggested clarifying the $5000 - $10,000 figure would not be an assessment, but rather the money would come from the Parks and Recreation budget. Horwath asked if the Commission had decided to change the word “abut” as discussed at the MINUTES
