MINUTES OF THE WORKSHOP MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />MAY 24, 2017 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a workshop meeting of the City Council <br />of Little Canada, Minnesota was convened on the 241h day of May, 2017 in the <br />Conference Room of the City Center located at 515 Little Canada Road in said <br />City. <br />Mayor John Keis called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. and the following <br />members of the City Council were present at roll call: <br />CITY COUNCIL: Mayor <br />Council Member <br />Council Member <br />Council Member <br />ABSENT: Council Member <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Administrator <br />City Planner <br />Associate Planner <br />Planner Commissioner <br />Planner Commissioner <br />Planner Commissioner <br />City Clerk <br />Mr. John Keis <br />Mr. Christian Torkelson <br />Mr. Tom Fischer <br />Mr. Rick Montour <br />Mr. Mike McGraw <br />Mr. Joel Hanson <br />Mr. Steve Grittman <br />Ms. Jessica Jagoe <br />Mr. Nick Sandell <br />Ms. Jennifer Schletty-Flores <br />Mr. Nick Schwalbach <br />Ms. Heidi Heller <br />Mayor Keis stated that the purpose of this evening's workshop is to continue the <br />discussion about the City's Comprehensive Plan Update with the Planning <br />Commission. <br />JOINT MEETING The City Planner explained that he summarized the last discussions that were <br />WITH THE <br />had separately with the Council and Planning Commission. He stated that <br />PLANNING <br />tonight he would like to review the summary to determine if anything needs to <br />COMMISSION TO <br />be amended or removed, and go through the topics for further review. <br />DISCUSS THE <br />COMPREHENSIVE <br />The City Planner stated that the first topic was the future of the three existing <br />PLAN UPDATE <br />mobile home parks. Torkelson stated that he would like to see one of the <br />options be to rezone them to mobile home district, and amend the City Code if <br />needed to make them be conforming. He wants to give more assurance to the <br />park tenants that the parks will not be redeveloped. Montour stated the other <br />side is then the existing redevelopment option would be taken away from the <br />
