Protect and/or enhance existing residential neighborhoods. <br />b. Encourage more commercial development for shopping, dining, and entertainment <br />opportunities. <br />c. The City has found that certain local government assistance has been helpful in encouraging <br />redevelopment, resulting in attractive new projects with only marginal long-term net costs to <br />the City’s finances. What types of activities do you believe the City should employ in facilitating <br />redevelopment and/or implementing land use goals? (check all that apply) <br />a. Assistance with purchasing redevelopment target areas when they become available. <br />b. Use of property tax incentives or other similar tools to facilitate new development. <br />c. Seek grants to facilitate rehabilitation or other projects, but avoid local government direct <br />investment. <br />d.
