1. Please order the following priority goals that the City of Little Canada should build into its next <br />Comprehensive Plan, with 1 being the top priority: <br />a. Protect and/or enhance existing residential neighborhoods. <br />b. Encourage more commercial development for shopping, dining, and entertainment <br />opportunities. <br />c. Encourage more industrial development for more local job opportunities. <br />d. Promote redevelopment of older or vacant property for housing, including housing for <br />seniors. <br />e. Focus local government functions on public safety and infrastructure (streets, parks, water, <br />etc.). <br />f. Increase local government attention to environmental protection activities. <br />g. Work with other area communities on decreasing traffic congestion. <br />h. Preserve and enhance public parks, trails, and open space development. <br />i. None of these. <br />j. Other ________ <br /> <br />2. What types of additional housing do you believe would benefit the community <br />a. Apartments / Multi-family dwellings <br />b. Assisted Living facilities <br />c. The City has found that certain local government assistance has been helpful in encouraging <br />redevelopment, resulting in attractive new projects with only marginal long-term net costs to <br />the City’s finances. What types of activities do you believe the City should employ in facilitating <br />redevelopment and/or implementing land use goals? (check all that apply) <br />a. Assistance with purchasing redevelopment target areas when they become available. <br />b. Use of property tax incentives or other similar tools to facilitate new development. <br />c. Seek grants to facilitate rehabilitation or other projects, but avoid local government direct <br />investment. <br />d. Accommodate private development or redevelopment through staff administrative advice <br />and assistance. <br />e. Prioritize blighted areas, and focus City attention on seeking private developers to replace <br />existing conditions with newer or renovated uses and buildings. <br />f. None of these. <br />g.
