<br />Inventory (Draft July 7) Page 4 <br />Age Characteristics <br /> <br />Little Canada has an aging <br />population, with those over 65 <br />increasing from 12.9% to 14.7% <br />from 2000 to 2010, accounting for <br />an additional 1.8% of the population. <br />During this time, the median age <br />increased from 36.3 years of age to <br />39.7. Since 2000, there has also been <br />a reduction in school-aged children <br />and an increase in those aged 20 to <br />64, or the labor force. <br /> <br />Little Canada has a higher median age than Arden Hills, Saint Paul, and Ramsey County as a <br />whole, but a younger median age than Roseville and Vadnais Heights.
