<br />Inventory (Draft July 7) Page 31 <br />Mass Transit <br /> <br />Little Canada’s proximity to Saint Paul ensures that it is well -served by 4 local transit routes, <br />outlined below. <br /> <br />Route 62: Route 62 is a local bus route that runs from West Saint Paul through downtown Saint <br />Paul and north to Little Canada, Shoreview, Vadnais Heights, and Roseville. It is a primarily a <br />north-south route, with its terminating stops at the Shoreview Community Center and the Signal <br />Hills Shopping Center in West Saint Paul. This route runs 20 hours a day, 7 days a week, with <br />slightly longer hours on weekdays. The 62 stops at the Capitol/Rice Street Station, which connects <br />to the Green Line Light Rail Transit which runs from downtown Saint Paul to Minneapolis. <br /> <br />Route 223: Route 223 is a local bus route that runs from Roseville to Maplewood. This is a <br />primarily east-west route, and terminates at the Rosedale Center in Roseville and the Maplewood <br />Mall. This route has no weekend service, and runs from 5:50 am to 6:26 pm on weekdays. <br /> <br />Route 71: Route 71 runs from Little Canada to Inver Grove Heights, through Maplewood, Saint <br />Paul, and South Saint Paul. It runs 20 hours a day during the week and from approximately 6:15 <br />am to midnight on the weekends. <br /> <br />Route 262: Route 262 is a local, limited stop bus route that runs from downtown Saint Paul to <br />Blaine, through Roseville, Little Canada, Vadnais Heights, and Shoreview. It has 11 stops and <br />only has two pickup times at each stop in the morning and evening. This commuter bus has no <br />weekend service and starts running around 6:20 am and ends around 5:42 pm. <br /> <br />Roseville Area Circulator: The Roseville Area Circulator is a local bus that provides service to <br />destinations such as the Rosedale and Maplewood Malls. The service is run by MetroTransit and <br />includes Routes 223 – 227. <br /> <br />Park and Ride <br /> <br />Park and ride locations in Little Canada include one at St. John the Evangelist Church, and County <br />Road B and Highway 36. <br /> <br />Pedestrian/Bike Trails <br /> <br />The City of Little Canada is committed to providing routes for bicycles and pedestrians throughout <br />the community. A trail runs from NW Little Canada to SE Little Canada, providing a protected <br />route for bicycles and pedestrians. Main thoroughfares, such as Little Canada Road, East County <br />Road C, and County Road B2 East provide sidewalks. <br /> <br />Airport Traffic <br /> <br />The Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) serves as the area’s primary scheduled <br />commercial airline passenger facility. However, MSP does not have any direct effect on the Little <br />Canada community.
