MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MARCH 27, 2002 <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2002-3-73 -INSTRUCT/NG THE CITY <br />ADMINISTRATOR TO SEND A LETTER TO THE RAMSEY COUNTY <br />BOARD AND THE CHIEF JUSTICE IN SUPPORT OF THE <br />MAINTENANCE OF A SUBURBAN COURT LOCATION <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fahey. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, Fahey, Montour, Anderson, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />REDISTRICTING The Council reviewed a map showing the effects of redistricting on the City of <br />Little Canada. It appears that the City is now completely within the <br />boundaries of Senate District 54 and House District 54B. The Council will be <br />looking at precinct boundaries at a future meeting Yo determine if any <br />adjustments should be made to those boundaries. <br />PURCHASE The City Administrator reviewed the proposed purchase agreement for 104 <br />AGREEMENT - East Little Canada Road. <br />104 LITTLE <br />CANADA ROAD Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2002-3-74 -APPROVING THE PURCHASE <br />AGREEMENT FOR I04 EAST LITTLE CANADA ROAD AS AMENDED <br />AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO <br />EXECUTE THE PURCHASE AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Anderson. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Anderson, Montour, Fahey, Scalze. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />RUTZICK The City Administrator reported that the appraisal of the Rutzick property <br />PROPERTY has been completed and the appraised value has been determined to be <br />ACQUISITION $600,000. The City had had an appraisal of this property done in 1996 and the <br />value at that time was determined to be $426,000. The Administrator reported <br />that the appraiser considered the highest and best use of the property to be <br />multiple family even though he was aware of the City's position against <br />additional multiple family housing developments. Given the City's senior <br />project in this area, the appraiser felt there maybe some potential for more <br />multiple family senior housing. <br />17 <br />
