n~iNUT~s <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />APRIL 24, 2002 <br />under the proposal will end up with run-off fi~om the other three interchange <br />quadrants. <br />Fifield indicated that if it is a wash for Little Canada, the City has the opportunity Co <br />recapture the costs it will incur as a result of its efforts.. <br />Scalze pointed out that the relocation of Country Drive will enhance the County's <br />property that is immediately south of the Taco John's site. <br />The Public Works Director suggested that Country Drive needs to be widened at its <br />intersection with Rice Street to accommodate turning movements- <br />The City Administrator indicated that the issue is one of cooperation and making the <br />road system function better. 1-lowever, the City will have to weigh the financial <br />implications of the project. <br />There was some discussion related to the location of the park and ride facility, with <br />Fifield indicating that the other developmenC proposed for this particular quadrant did <br />not require fieeway exposure. <br />Scalze felt there should be some consideration to commuter rail and a future <br />dedicated busway on the adjacent rail line. <br />Tolaas again described the desire to shift Owasso Blvd. and consequently shift <br />Country Drive so that the two are aligned.
