MINUTES CITY COUNCIL SEPTEMBER 27, 2017 GILBERTSON The Public Works Director explained that Gilbertson Field at Spooner FIELD Park needs improvements and the Little Canada Recreation Association UPGRADES has helped with the improvement plans and volunteered to fund all of the work. He stated the main improvements are new concrete under the player benches to behind the backstop and under the bleachers, new bleachers and fencing around the entire park, repairing the infield, and adding a water fountain. He reported that the improvement costs will be around $50,000. Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOL UTION NO. 2017-9-178 APPROVING GILBERTSON FIELD UPGRADES FOR A COST OF $50,000, TO BE FUNDED BY THE LITTLE CANADA RECREATIONASSOCIATION, AND INSTALL A PLAQUE AT THE FIELD TO RECOGNIZE LCRA FOR THEIR DONATION. The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. CLOSED SESSION Keis stated that the Council is calling for a closed session at 9:25p.m. as TO CONSIDER authorized under State Statute 13D.05 Subd. 3, to discuss terms for a OFFER TO purchase agreement for the properties at 53 and 167 South Owasso PURCHASE 53 & Boulevard. 167 SOUTH OWASSO Keis stated that the regular Council meeting will be adjourned and the BOULEVARD Council will immediately go into closed session. He noted that the regular Council meeting will adjourn immediately after the closed session is adjourned. Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOL UTION NO. 2017-9-179 —TEMPORARILY ADJO URNING THE REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING AND CONVENING INTO CLOSED SESSION The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw.
