<br /> <br /> STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />TO: Mayor Keis and Members of City Council <br /> <br />FROM: Joel Hanson, City Administrator <br /> Sharon Provos, Finance Director <br /> <br />DATE: December 15, 2017 <br /> <br />RE: 2018 Budget Adoption <br /> <br />At Wednesday's meeting, we need to approve the 2018 Budget. In the attached budget document, a <br />6.95% increase in our levy is indicated per our discussion at the last Council Meeting. <br /> <br />Here are the action items relative to adoption of the 2018 Budget: <br /> <br /> Conduct the public hearing as part of the 2018 Budget Adoption process. <br /> <br /> As part of the public hearing, a Truth-In-Taxation budget presentation will be done by City <br />Staff. We will provide special emphasis on the decertification of TIF District 3-2 and the <br />positive impact that is having on our 2018 levy. At the conclusion of the presentation, <br />questions from the public can be fielded. <br /> <br /> Certification of the 2018 Property Tax Levy <br />General Fund $2,933,087 Fire Equipment Fund $ 151,608 <br />Infrastructure Fund $ 157,200 <br />GROSS TAX LEVY $3,241,895 <br /> <br /> Approve the 2018 Capital Improvement Program <br /> <br /> Approve 2018 Bonded Indebtedness Tax Levy Reductions totaling $206,001.11 <br /> GO 2008A Bonds $ 22,828.61 <br /> GO 2014A Bonds $183,172.50 <br /> <br /> Adopt the 2018 Salary Scales (previously submitted under separate cover) . A 3% Cost of <br />Living Adjustment was used for most scales.
