1VIINUTI;S <br />CITY CODNCII. <br />JUNE 12, 2002 <br />BLDS TOR The City Administrator reported that the City has received one bid for the <br />2002 2002 improvement work, and that bid is approximately $300,000 over <br />IMPROVEMENTS estimate. The Administrata~ reported that City staff is currently doing a <br />pricing analysis to determine if certain components of the bid package can <br />be broken out as separate projects. He noted that staff' would like to <br />proceed with portions of the improvement work such as the sewer line <br />relocation that is part of the Garden Terrace addition as well as the Ryan <br />Drive improvement. However, the contractor has indicated that these <br />components are not enough work to warrant proceeding under the bid. <br />The Administrator also indicated that the City Attorney is reviewing the <br />provisions of the contract to clarify the City's rights in this regard. <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />REb'O7. Resolution declared adopted. <br />LOAN Or 'T'he City Council reviewed the City AdminisUator's recommendation that <br />ST. Resolution declared adopted. <br />OUTDOOR Scalze pointed out that City's recent approval of outdoor storage for the <br />STORAGE IN Orius building at 3250 Spruce Street which involves outdoor storage in <br />TIIE 1-P the front of their building. Scalze questioned whether the City wanted <br />DISTRICT to continue to allow outdoor storage in front of buildings in the I-P <br />District, which are the City's highest and best industrial use areas.
