<br /> <br /> STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />TO: Mayor Keis and Members of City Council <br /> <br />FROM: Bill Dircks, Public Works Director <br /> <br />DATE: May 31, 2018 <br /> <br />RE: 2018 Crack Filling <br /> <br />Quotes were solicited from three contractors to perform crack filling on streets where it is needed. <br />Two quotes were received. They are listed below. <br /> Gopher State Sealcoat, Inc.: $1.89/lb. <br /> Northwest Asphalt Maintenance: $1.45/lb. <br />Based on the quotes received staff recommends awarding the 2018 crack filling contract to <br />Northwest Asphalt Maintenance. Northwest Asphalt has performed crack filling in the City for the <br />past several years and they have always done good work. The City did not do any crack filling in 2017 <br />due to the lack of significant cracking. In 2016 the City paid $1.03 per pound. The price of the crack <br />filling material has increased quite a bit over the past two years. A map of streets scheduled to be <br />crack filled is attached. Approximately $25,000 has been budgeted in 2018 for crack filling. <br /> <br /> <br />
