I am also recommending that we modify the program to have the City pay the <br />tuition costs at enrollment in each course and if not successfully completed, the employee would <br />reimburse the City $150 per pay period to be withheld as part of payroll processing until the <br />amount is repaid (repayment in just over ½ year on that basis). Should the employee leave the <br />City, any amounts owing would become immediately due and payable and be withheld from <br />any final payroll/severance amounts owing. Finally, should the employee leave the City’s <br />employment within two years of completing a class, the employee will be responsible for the full <br />reimbursement of the City’s expended funds <br />The Council’s comments/modifications can be addressed as you deem appropriate.
