MINUTES CITY COUNCIL OCTOBER 23, 2002 REQUEST TO PURCHASE NOEL DRIVE PROPERTY RESOL UTION NO. 2002-IO-243 -WAIVING THE RENTAL FEE FOR THE OLD FIRE HALT, FOR SUNDAY, NOVEMBER I0~", FOR THE LITTLE CANADA HISTORICAL SOCIETYAND LAKE OWASSO CONTINGENT UPON THE USE OF PROPER .SIGNAGE DIRECTING OVERFLOW PARKING TO NORM'S PARKING I,OT The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. Ayes (5) Fahey, Montour, Scalze, LaValle, Anderson. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. Montour suggested that the fundraising events be posted on the City's WEB site. Kathy Smith appeared before the Council requesting to purchase City owned property located on Noel Drive. Fahey reviewed the recommendations of the Planning Commission, Parks & Recreation Commission, and the City Administrator relative to this request. Scalze stated that she did not support the sale of this City property, noting that open space is a wonderful asset to the City. Scalze felt that the property should be rezoned to Public. Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOL UTION NO. 2002-10-244 -DENYING KATHY SMITH'S REQUEST TO PURCHASE NOBI, DRIVE PROPERTY, AND INSTRUCTING STAFF TO PROCEED WITH THE STEPS NECESSARY TO REZONE THIS' PROPERTY TD PU13L IC The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. Ayes (5) Scalze, Montour, Fahey, LaValle, Anderson. Nays (o). Resolution declared adopted. Smith congratulated the Council on their retention of property as open space and encouraged the rezoning of the property to Public. CONCEPT Fahey noted that Carl Johnson was detained and could not be present at REVIEW- tonight's meeting. Therefore, it is necessary to delay discussion of the Drywall DRYWALL Supply Addition concept review. SUPPLY Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2002-IO-245 - TA73LING ACTION ON THE DRYWALL SUPPLYADDITION CONCEPT REVIEW CONTINGENT UPON A WAIVER 19
