STAFF REPORT

TO: Mayor Keis and Members of the City Council

FROM: Jessica Jagoe, Associate Planner

DATE: August 17, 2018

RE: Table Public Hearing – PUD Amendment 2925 Country Drive

Following the Planning Commission meeting, the Academy of Science & Agriculture (AFSA) has
requested their planning application be tabled until September 12th in order to allow for a traffic study to be
completed. Mayor Keis and city staff had a meeting today with Dick Biagini - Property Owner, Jeff
Nordness - Realtor, and several representatives from AFSA to review the concerns noted at the August 8th
Planning Commission meeting. AFSA wants to make sure they are properly addressing staff comments
and providing the additional site details and traffic pattern information between buses and parent drop-
off/pick-up as requested in the planning report. Based on that, city staff is recommending that the City
Council open the public hearing and continue it until the Wednesday, September 12th meeting.
