515 Little Canada Road, Little Canada, MN 55117-1600
(651) 766-4029 / FAX: (651) 766-4048
www.littlecanadamn.org
MAYOR
John Keis
COUNCIL
Rick Montour
Michael McGraw
Tom Fischer
Christian Torkelson
TO:
FROM:
DATE:
RE:
MEMORANDUM
Mayor Keis & Members of the City Council
Jessica Jagoe, Code Enforcement Officer
August 17, 2018
Nuisance Abatement – 120 Lake Street E.
On August 3rd a final notice was posted on the property and sent to Wells Fargo, Property owner
of 120 Lake Street East, requesting the grass nuisance violation that exists be corrected by
August 17th in order to avoid abatement of the violation. Upon receipt of this notice, I was
contacted by a representative from the Property Maintenance Remediation Team with Wells
Fargo. She indicated their records identified this property as being occupied which causes them
some issues with scheduling maintenance on a property. They are working to resolve since our
utility billing records indicated the property has been vacant since mid-June. Their hope is to
have the grass cut by Wednesday, August 22nd. Staff has informed them that if not corrected by
that time, the City would proceed with the abatement process. Staff will complete an inspection
prior to the meeting and update the Council as to whether further abatement action is needed.
