STAFF REPORT <br />TO:Mayor Keis and Members of the City Council – Canvassing Board <br />FROM:Heidi Heller, City Clerk <br />DATE:November 9, 2018 <br />RE:Canvass Returns and Declare Results of the November 6, 2018 General Election <br />State Statute 205.185 requires the governing body of a city conducting an election to act as the <br />canvassing board, canvass results and declare the results of an election between the third and <br />tenth days after an election. <br />The State General Election was held on November 6, 2018. This election resulted in Little <br />Canada Mayor John Keis being re-elected for the 2-year term January 1, 2019 to December 31, <br />2020, and Council Members Tom Fischer and Christian Torkelson being re-elected for the 4-year <br />term January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2022. The Ramsey County Elections Office will provide <br />the official Abstract of Votes Cast in Little Canada. <br />Staff recommends the City Council, acting as the Little Canada Canvassing Board, accept the <br />Canvass of the November 6, 2018 State General Election for City Offices of the Mayor and City <br />Council Members.
