Without inflation adjustments, taxable sales in Little Canada increased 52.7 percent from 2009 to 2016, while the number of firms rose 5.9 percent. Statewide, taxable sales increased 11.3 percent over the same time period and the number of firms fell 9.0 percent. The per capita sales and pull factor data in this table are based on taxable sales, the more verified sales measure. The table also presents sales data in constant 2016 dollars. These figures have been adjusted for inflation to reflect their value in 2016. For example, in 2003, taxable sales in Little Canada totaled $63.39 million, an amount worth $82.32 million in 2016 dollars. In constant dollars, gross sales grew 55.9 percent between 2009 and 2016. Constant dollar taxable sales increased 37.4 percent over the same time period.
