<br /> <br /> STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />TO: Parks & Recreation Commission <br /> <br />FROM: Bryce Shearen, Parks & Recreation/Community Services Manager <br /> <br />DATE: October 26, 2018 <br /> <br />RE: Spooner Park Playground Update <br /> <br />Throughout the month of October, the Parks & Recreation Commission has been involved in the <br />process of choosing a new 5-12 year-old play area a 2-5 year-old play area that could be <br />submitted for a grant opportunity. The Commission participated in online surveys in which they <br />offered valuable feedback along the way. A grant was submitted for and the City was successful <br />in obtaining a grant of $84,205.00 towards new playground equipment. <br /> <br />From all of the comments and feedback, staff will be recommending a playground option to the <br />City Council at their meeting on Monday, October 29, 2018. Staff will update the Commission <br />on the outcome of that meeting at your meeting on Tuesday, October 30, 2018. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />• Spooner Park Playground Equipment Staff Report to City Council
