The Community Services Manager explained discussions could be <br />started early in 2019. Schletty made a motion to approve the 2019 <br />Budget Prioritization List, with the addition of “planning” to number <br />two. Abruzzese seconded the motion. The motion was unanimously <br />approved. <br /> <br /> <br />The Community Services Manager reported Cookies with Santa would be <br />on Saturday, December 8. <br /> <br />The Community Services Manager reported staff was preparing to offer a <br />co-rec adult broomball league this winter. <br /> <br />The Community Services Manager reported he had heard many positive <br />comments about the City’s pickleball program. Pickleball was offered on <br />Tuesday’s and Thursday’s and will continue next year. <br /> <br />The Community Services Manager reported Market Place Morning Talk <br />was the Holiday Party on November 14. <br /> <br />The Community Services Manager reported the Gervais Mill Parking lot <br />was being redone. He stated the old fire hall remodel was almost finished, <br />but a few things would be left until spring when there was warmer <br />weather. <br /> <br />The Community Services Manager reported senior exercise has been <br />moved to City Hall during the Old Fire Hall remodel. The event takes <br />place year round, every Wednesday and Friday from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. at <br />the Old Fire Hall. <br /> <br />Chu asked if the Rondeau Park sign that was broken would be replaced. <br />The Community Services Manager stated the wood signs that the City had <br />been using were easy to vandalize and break, and staff is working on a <br />new design with a composite material for more durability. <br /> <br />Chu asked if the Commission could take a look at youth activities and <br />participation trends. The Commission agreed they should spend time <br />discussing youth participation. <br /> <br />Councilman Fischer shared information about the Community Survey. He <br />explained the results had been presented to the City Council and would be <br />on the website soon. Councilman Fischer stated the results were very good <br />and had feedback about parks and recreation topics which may help the <br />Commission moving forward. <br />OTHER <br />BUSINESS
