MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />APRIL 24, 2019 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a special meeting of the City Council of <br />Little Canada, Minnesota was convened on the 24"' day of April, 2019 in the <br />Conference Room of the City Center located at 515 Little Canada Road in said <br />City. <br />Mayor John Keis called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. and the following <br />members of the City Council were present at roll call: <br />CITY COUNCIL: <br />Mayor <br />Council Member <br />Council Member <br />Council Member <br />Council Member <br />ALSO PRESENT: <br />City Administrator <br />Finance Director <br />Public Works Director <br />Assoc. Planner/Code Enforce. <br />Parks & Rec/Comm. Services Mgr. <br />City Clerk <br />Mr. John Keis <br />Mr. Tom Fischer <br />Mr. Christian Torkelson <br />Mr. Mike McGraw <br />Mr. Rick Montour <br />Mr. Chris Heineman <br />Ms. Brenda Malinowski <br />Mr. Bill Dircks <br />Ms. Jessica Jagoe <br />Mr. Bryce Shearen <br />Ms. Heidi Heller <br />Mayor Keis stated that the purpose of this evening's special meeting is to <br />interview engineer firms for a new City Engineering Services contract. <br />INTERVIEW <br />The City Council conducted interviews with two consulting firms Focus <br />ENGINEERING <br />Engineering (5:00 p.m.) and Stantec (6:00 p.m.) for anew city engineering <br />FIRMS FOR CITY <br />services contract. A total of six firms were selected for further consideration <br />ENGINEERING <br />after reviewing the written proposals that were submitted to the City. The <br />SERVICES <br />interviews consisted of allowing the consultants to present their proposal, along <br />CONTRACT <br />with general questions asked by the City Council. <br />At the conclusion of the interviews, the Council and City Staff in attendance, <br />deliberated on the merits of each consulting firm and the long-term engineering <br />needs for the city. After this discussion, the consensus of those present was to <br />invite two firms, Bolton & Menk and MSA, back for a second interview. <br />
