MINUTES OF THE WORKSHOP MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />NOVEMBER 6, 2019 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a workshop meeting of the City <br />Council of Little Canada, Minnesota was convened on the 011 day of <br />November, 2019 at the City Center located at 515 Little Canada Road in <br />said City. <br />Mayor John Keis called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. and the <br />following members of the City Council were present at roll call: <br />CITY COUNCIL: <br />Mayor <br />Council Member <br />Council Member <br />Council Member <br />ABSENT: <br />Council Member <br />ALSO PRESENT: <br />City Administrator <br />Parks & Rec/Comm. Services Mgr. <br />Finance Director <br />Public Works Director <br />City Clerk <br />Customer Service Technician <br />Building Official <br />Mr. John Keis <br />Mr. Tom Fischer <br />Mr. Mike McGraw <br />Mr. Rick Montour <br />Mr. Christian Torkelson <br />Mr. Chris Heineman <br />Mr. Bryce Shearen <br />Ms. Brenda Malinowski <br />Mr. Bill Dircks <br />Ms. Heidi Heller <br />Ms. Lisa Krieger <br />Mr. Steve Westerhaus <br />Mayor Keis stated that the purpose of this evening's workshop is to <br />discuss new permit and licensing software, Council Chambers upgrades <br />and the Metropolitan Council Livable Communities Local Housing <br />Incentives Program. <br />DISCUSS NEW The City Clerk explained that the City currently does not use any type of <br />PERMIT & software to track or issue permits, business licenses or contractor licenses, <br />LICENSING and is likely the only city in the metro area not using any type of software. <br />SOFTWARE She reviewed how using software would greatly increase efficiency, <br />accuracy, tracking abilities and professionalism. The Customer Service <br />Technician explained how permits are currently handled and the amount <br />
