MINUTES OF THE WORKSHOP MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />FEBRUARY 14, 2001 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a workshop meeting of the City <br />Council of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 14th day of <br />February, 2001 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Michael I. Fahey called the meeting to order at 8:55 p.m. and the <br />following members of the City Council were present at roll call: <br /> CITY COITNCIL: Mayor Mr. Michael I. Fahey <br /> Council Member Ms. Beverly Scalze <br /> Council Member Mr. Jim LaValle <br /> Council Member Mr. Matt Anderson <br /> Council Member Mr. Rick Montour <br /> ALSO PRESENT: City Administrator Mr. Joel R. Hanson <br /> City Attorney Mr. Patrick Sweeney <br /> Public Works Dir. Mr. Greg Schroeder <br /> Deputy Clerk Ms. Kathy Glanzer <br />TWIN The purpose of tonight's workshop meeting is to discuss the <br />LAKE development potential of the City's property on Twin Lake Blvd. as <br />BLVD, well as the means the City wishes to pursue in marketing the property. <br />PROPERTY <br /> The City Administrator reported that a few developers have expressed <br /> interest in this property for both single-family home and townhome <br /> developments. The Administrator suggested that a logical course of action <br /> would be to put out a request for proposals for development of the site, <br /> and asked the development parameters that should be included in the RFP. <br /> The Administrator also indicated that he feels the appraised value for the <br /> property is too low. <br />Fahey suggested that if it is decided that the property should be developed <br />as single-family, that the City plat the property and sell the lots rather than <br />turning over the property to a developer. However, if the decision is that <br />the property should be developed with townhomes, Fahey felt the property <br />should then be sold to a developer. <br />The Council had some general discussion on the potential for single- <br />family development of this site versus townhome development. It was the <br />consensus of the Council that the City Administrator should work with the <br />
