MINOTES CITY COUNCIL MAY 23, 2001 BIDS FOR The Public Works Director reviewed his report dated May 18, 2001 MAPLE LANE relating to bids for the Maple Lane Trail improvement and the St. John's TRAIL/ST. parking lot improvement. The Director reported that the bids received are JOHN'S higher than if the City included the work as parrt of the 200] street PARKING LOT reconstruction work being done by T.A. Schifsky & Sons. Therefore, he recommended that the bids be rejected and the work awarded to T. A. Schifsky & Sons. Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOI UTION NO. 2007-5-116 - RE.IECTING 73IDS FOR THE MAPLE LANE TRAIL/ST..IOHN'S PARKIN(; LOT PROJECT AS RECOMMENDED ]3Y THE PDI37.IC WORKS DIRECTOR AND AWARDING TIIE ALTERNATE TU T. A. SCHIFSKY & SONS AS PART OF THE 2001 STREET 12ECONSTRUCTIONRND UTILITY IMPROVEMENT WORX The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. Ayes (5) Scalze, Montour, Fahey, LaValle, Anderson. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. PAVERS AS The Public Works Director reported that given an exceptional contract price PART OF ST. for the Little Canada Road amenity work, the use of pavers rather than JOHN'S colored concrete as part of the St. John's parking lot project will result in PARKING a cost savings of approximately $4,700. Ayes (5) Scalze, Anderson, Montour, LaValle, Fahey. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. CANCEL Mayor Fahey suggested that the June 13°i Council meeting be cancelled JANE 13, due to the typically light agendas that the Council has at their first 2001 COUNCIL meeting of the month. Fahey indicated that, if need be, a special Council MEETING meeting could be called.
