MINUTES OT THE WORKSHOP MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />NOVEMBER 14, 2001 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a workshop meeting of the City Council <br />of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 14°i day of November, 2001 in the <br />Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 Little Canada Road in said <br />City. <br />Mayor Michael I. Mr. Greg Schroeder <br />Cable TV Producer Ms. Andrea Mossong <br />Deputy Clerk Ms. Kathy Glanzer <br />2002 BUDGET The City Administrator presented the Council with a supplemental <br />REVIEW information packet relating to the proposed 2002 Budget. He reported that <br />refinements of the General Fund budget are continuing, and he recommended <br />that an additional budget workshop be scheduled for November 28°i following <br />the regular Council meeting for review of that portion of the proposed 2002 <br />Budget. <br />The Administrator began with a review of proposed wages for the year 2002 <br />pointing out that depa~Yment head wages are based on comparisons with other <br />cities with populations approximately 4,300 above and below Little Canada. <br />Wages for other staff positions are based on comparisons with all other <br />Ramsey County cities. The Administrator explained that given the size of <br />Little Canada, the duties relative to department head positions a~~e more <br />comparable with cities of similar size. The duties for front line staff positions, <br />however, are similar to comparable positions in other metro cities regardless of <br />the size. The Administrator indicated that the only area of salaries that may <br />need some adjustments at this point would be for seasonal rink supervisors and <br />f7ooders. That information will be presented at the next budget workshop. <br />
