MINUTES CITY COUNCIL JANUARY 26, 2000 the improvements made to the road curves in that area have slowed down traffic. Pedersen felt that the stop signs at this intersection are benefiting a limited number of houses while the stop sign is inconveniencing avery large number of people. Morelan felt that the stop signs helped to redirect traffic from the area that benefits everyone living in the Jackson/Old C/Lakeshore area. Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2000-1-33 -DECLARING THAT THE STOP SIGNS AT THE INTERSECTION OF JACKSON STREET AND LAKE STREET SHO ULD REMAIN AS IS The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. Ayes (4) Scalze, LaValle, Morelan, Pedersen. Nays (1) Pedersen. Resolution declared adopted. NO PARKING The Public Works Director reviewed his recommendation for the ON McMENEMY installation of no parking signs at the intersection of McMenemy ROAD AND Road and Little Canada Road to improve the visibility for drivers LITTLE CANADA at that intersection. ROAD Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2000-1-34 -ORDERING THE INSTALLATION OF NO PARKING SIGNS AT THE INTERSECTION OF McMENEMYROAD AND LITTLE CANADA ROAD AS RECOMMENDED BY THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Morelan. Ayes (5) Scalze, Morelan, Pedersen, Fahey, LaValle. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. FASTPITCH The Council reviewed the revised fastpitch guidelines submitted by the GUIDELINES Parks & Recreation Director. Morelan indicated that he did not feel these guidelines went far enough to protect the interests of the City's residents. Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2000-I-35 -ADOPTING THE FASTPITCH GUIDELINES AS SUBMITTED BY THE PARKS & RECREATION DIRECTOR 20
