MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JANUARY 26, 2000 <br />the improvements made to the road curves in that area have slowed down <br />traffic. Pedersen felt that the stop signs at this intersection are benefiting a <br />limited number of houses while the stop sign is inconveniencing avery <br />large number of people. <br />Morelan felt that the stop signs helped to redirect traffic from the area that <br />benefits everyone living in the Jackson/Old C/Lakeshore area. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2000-1-33 -DECLARING THAT THE STOP <br />SIGNS AT THE INTERSECTION OF JACKSON STREET AND <br />LAKE STREET SHO ULD REMAIN AS IS <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (4) Scalze, LaValle, Morelan, Pedersen. <br />Nays (1) Pedersen. Resolution declared adopted. <br />NO PARKING The Public Works Director reviewed his recommendation for the <br />ON McMENEMY installation of no parking signs at the intersection of McMenemy <br />ROAD AND Road and Little Canada Road to improve the visibility for drivers <br />LITTLE CANADA at that intersection. <br />ROAD <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2000-1-34 -ORDERING THE INSTALLATION <br />OF NO PARKING SIGNS AT THE INTERSECTION OF <br />McMENEMYROAD AND LITTLE CANADA ROAD AS <br />RECOMMENDED BY THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Morelan. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, Morelan, Pedersen, Fahey, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />FASTPITCH The Council reviewed the revised fastpitch guidelines submitted by the <br />GUIDELINES Parks & Recreation Director. Morelan indicated that he did not feel these <br />guidelines went far enough to protect the interests of the City's residents. <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2000-I-35 -ADOPTING THE FASTPITCH <br />GUIDELINES AS SUBMITTED BY THE PARKS & RECREATION <br />DIRECTOR <br />20 <br />
