MINUTES OF THE WORKSHOP MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />FEBRUARY 9, 2000 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a workshop meeting of the City <br />Council of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 9th day of February, <br />2000 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 Little <br />Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Michael I. Fahey called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. and the <br />following members of the City Council were present at roll call: <br />CITY COUNCIL: Mayor Mr. Michael I. Fahey <br />Council Member Mr. Jim LaValle <br />Council Member Mr. Steve Morelan <br />Council Member Mr. Bob Pedersen <br />Council Member Mrs . Beverly Scalze <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Administrator Mr. Joel R. Hanson <br />Deputy Clerk Mrs. Kathy Glanzer <br />STRATEGIC The purpose of this evening's workshop meeting is to establish a <br />PLANNING framework for conducting aCouncil/Staff strategic planning session. The <br />Council discussed the various options as well as how previous sessions <br />were conducted. Based on this discussion, the Council set a strategic <br />planning workshop for Wednesday, Apri15, 2000 at 4 p.m. at the City <br />Center. The Council decided that the session would include the same <br />participants as were included in the 1998 Strategic Planning Session, and <br />instructed the City Administrator to hire a facilitator to conduct the <br />session. The session will begin with the identification of goals. Once <br />goals are identified, the Council will conclude with the ranking of these <br />goals and the development of action plans for accomplishing the goals. <br />The Council indicated that they would like to see the development of <br />short-term goals to be accomplished this year, as well as long-term goals. <br />There being no further business, the workshop was adjourned at 7:00 p.m <br />-?~~~`~` <br />Mich el I.
