MINUTES OF TIIE WORKSHOP MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />APRIL 5, 2000 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a workshop meeting of the City <br />Council of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 5°i day of April, <br />2000 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 5I5 Little <br />Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Michael I. Kathy Glanzer <br />LITTLE Mayor Fahey opened the workshop to review the engineering and <br />CANADA streetscape plans for the Little Canada Road improvement. The City <br />ROAD Engineer reported that Little Canada Road is proposed to be 42 feet wide. <br />IMPROVEMENT It will have a three lane design; the center lane designated as a turn lane. <br />PROJECT An 8 foot amenity corridor is proposed for the north side of the street as <br /> well as a 6 foot sidewalk. There will be an 8-foot amenity corridor on the <br /> south side of the street with no sidewalk. While the entire improvement <br /> extends from Rice Street to County Road C, the amenity corridor extends <br /> between Rice Street and the railroad tracks. <br />Scalze asked about bike traff c on the south side of the street. The <br />Engineer replied that bike traffic would be on the street surface. A 2 to 3 <br />foot area could be striped for bike traffic if the City chooses to do so. <br />LaValle asked how far the westernmost house on the south side of Little <br />Canada Road would be from the street surface. The Engineer estimated <br />approximately 25 to 26 feet from the front of the garage. LaValle pointed <br />
