MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL WORKSHOP <br />FEBRUARY 12, 2020 <br />owners. He noted that a part-time Code Enforcement & Rental Housing <br />Inspector was budgeted in 2020, and staff hopes to have that position hired <br />in the next couple of months. He explained that this new position will <br />take over doing the rental housing license inspections rather than the rental <br />property owners needing to hire an outside inspector. He stated that the <br />inspections have not been tracked well and have not been getting done in <br />the last several years. <br />Discussion ensued about the proposed amendments to City Code Chapter <br />3200, Rental Housing Licensing, and the change in rental housing license <br />fees. <br />The City Administrator stated that staff will be drafting an ordinance with <br />amendments to City Code Chapter 3200, along with amendments to the <br />Fee Schedule with the new rental housing license fees, and present these at <br />an upcoming City Council meeting. <br />There being no further business, the workshop was adjourned at 7:27 p.m. <br />John TiI eis, Mayor <br />Attest: <br />Christopher Heinema , City Administrator <br />3 <br />
