MINUTES CITY COUNCIL MAY 9, 2000 Morelan asked if the owner of Saxon Lanes had been contacted about the hub. Weyer reported that Saxon Lanes will be contacted shortly. It may be necessary to obtain some additional easement from The Saxon for sidewalk areas. However, this has not yet been determined. Morelan asked if there are plans to expand the facility to include a park and ride. Weyer suggested that may be a long-term plan, but nothing is definite at this point. Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2000-5-118 -APPROVING THE INTERIM TRANSIT HU73 AS PROPOSED BY METRO TRANSIT ALONG FIRST BANK DRIVE ADJACENT TO THE MARKET PLACE SHOPPING CENTER SU73JECT TO COMPLIANCE WITH THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR AS OUTLINED IN HIS REPORT DATED MAY 4, 2000 The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Morelan. Ayes (4) Scalze, Morelan, Fahey, Pedersen. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. TOBACCO Mr. Marlon Gonser appeared before the Council requesting approval of LICENSE - a tobacco license to open and operate a tobacco shop at the Market TOBACCO Place Shopping Center. Gonser reported that the shop would be located UNLIMITED in the hallway space at the front of the Little Canada Bingo Hall. Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption RE,SOI UTION NO. 2000-5-119 - APPROVING A TOBACCO LICENSE FOR TOBACCO UNLIMITED, 2900 RICE STREET, FOR THE LICENSE PERIOD MAY 1, 2000 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2001 The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. Ayes (4) Morelan, Scalze, Pedersen, Fahey. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
