MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
MAY 23, 2000
Dave Remarke, representing Dick Biagini, reported that he met with Ted
Zinner, owner of Quebec Apartments and they have agreed to add three
more trees to the landscaping along the north property line. He also noted
that the curb line on the west property line has been moved back 34 feet
and that 25 to 28 feet of grassy area is proposed along Condit.
There was no one from the general public present wishing to comment on
this matter.
Upon motion by Fahey, seconded by Scalze, the public hearing was
closed.
Scalze asked how the building would look from the north and west
elevations. Remarke described the north and west sides of the buildings
pointing out that there are no windows proposed in the warehouse areas.
The City Administrator reported that a neighboring property owner has
expressed concern with the appearance of the berm for the phase one
building. (The berm on Phase II is proposed to be sodded rather than
surfaced with wood chips.) The Administrator suggested that as a
condition of the PUD permit approval, the first berm be looked at to
determine if there are some improvements which can be made that will
address the concerns of the neighborhood. Remarke was agreeable to this
course of action.
Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOL UTION NO. 2000-5-129 -APPROVING THE PLANNED
UNIT DEVELOPMENT PERMIT FOR DEVEL OPMENT OF THE
PHASE TWO OFFICE/WAREHOU.S`EBUlLDING FOR COUNTRY
SIDE TERRACE OFFICE PARK SUBJECT TO COMPLIANCE
WITH THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE CITY PLANNER AND
THE PLANNING COMMISSION, AND INCORPORATING STAFF
REVIEWAND APPROVAL OF THE LANDSCAPING OF THE
BERM FOR THE PHASE I BUILDING INTO THE PUD PERMIT
FOR THE PURPOSES OF IMPROVING THE LANDSCAPING OF
THIS BERM AND COORDINATING THIS LANDSCAPING WITH
THE BERM FOR PHASE II
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze.
Ayes (3) Fahey, Scalze, Pedersen.
Nays (0).
