MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />OCTOBER 11, 2000 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the City <br />Council of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 1 Ith day of October, <br />2000 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 Little <br />Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Michael I. Fahey called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and the <br />following members of the City Council were present at roll call: <br />CITY COUNCIL: <br />Mayor <br />Council Member <br />Council Member <br />Council Member <br />Council Member <br />Mr. Michael I. Fahey <br />Mr. Jim LaValle <br />Mr. Steve Morelan <br />Mr. Bob Pedersen <br />Ms. Beverly Scalze <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Administrator Mr. Joel R. Hanson <br />City Attorney Mr. Thomas Sweeney <br />Cable TV Producer Mr. Todd Holdman <br />Deputy Clerk Ms. Kathy Glanzer <br />MINUTES Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOI UTION NO. 2000-10-240 -APPROVING THE MINUTES OF <br />THE SEPTEMBER 27, 2000 REGUI AR COUNCIL. MEETING AS <br />SU73MITTED <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Fahey, Scalze, LaValle, Morelan, Pedersen. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />BRUCE Mayor Fahey and the Council observed a moment of silence in memory <br />VENTO of Congressman Bruce Vento. Mayor Fahey offered Congressman <br />Vento's family his condolences on behalf of the City. <br />COMPETITIVE Cor Wilson, Executive Director, North Suburban Telecommunications <br />FRANCHISING Commission, appeared before the Council to report on competitive <br />ISSUES franchising issues. Wilson reported that the Commission is currently <br />reviewing applications from two companies, Wide Open West and <br />Everest, for franchises. Wilson reported that there is the possibility that a <br />third company, Seren, may also apply for a franchise. <br />
