MINUTES OF THE WORKSHOP MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />NOVEMBER 21, 2000 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a workshop meeting of the City <br />Council of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 21s` day of <br />November, 2000 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at <br />515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Michael I. Fahey called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. and the <br />following members of the City Council were present at roll call: <br />CITY COUNCIL: Mayor Mr. Michael I. Fahey <br />Council Member Mr. Jim LaValle <br />Council Member Mr. Steve Morelan <br />Council Member Mr. Bob Pedersen <br />Council Member Ms. Beverly Scalze <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Administrator Mr. Joel R. Hanson <br />Council Member-Elect Mr. Matt Anderson <br />Council Member-Elect Mr. Rick Montour <br />Deputy Clerk Ms. Kathy Glanzer <br />PERFORMANCE The purpose of this evening's workshop meeting is to conduct the <br />EVALUATION & City Administrator's annual performance evaluation as well as to review <br />2001 GOALS goals for 2001. <br />The Council reviewed the evaluations submitted by City staff. Council <br />discussed these evaluations, and the City Administrator advised the <br />Council of staff team building efforts that a~~e being utilized. It was the <br />consensus of the Council that future 360-degree evaluations are set up so <br />that these evaluations come from employees reporting directly to the City <br />Administrator and department heads. <br />Fahey indicated that the City Administrator has done a terrific job in the <br />area of redevelopment efforts, and felt that this was the City's primary <br />goal over the next few years. <br />Morelan pointed out that in determining salary scales for the various <br />positions, the City utilizes the Stanton Keport as its primary source of <br />information. The salary information in this report is year old data, and <br />Morelan felt that the use of year old data on which to base current salaries <br />gave City employees a negative perception. <br />
