MINUTES OF THE WORKSHOP MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />DECEMBER 20, 2000 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a continuation of workshop <br />meeting of the City Council of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the <br />20th day of December, 2000 in the Council Chambers of the City Center <br />located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Michael I. Fahey called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. and the <br />following members of the City Council were present at roll call: <br />CITY COUNCIL: Mayor Mr. Michael I. Fahey <br />Council Member Mr. Jim LaValle <br />Council Member Mr. Steve Morelan <br />Council Member Mr. Bob Pedersen <br />Council Member Ms. Beverly Scalze <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Administrator Mr. Joel R. Hanson <br />Council Member-Elect Mr. Matt Anderson <br />Council Member-Elect Mr. Rick Montour <br />Deputy Clerk Ms. Kathy Glanzer <br />PERFORMANCE Tonight's workshop meeting is a continuation of the November 21st <br />EVALUATION & workshop called for the purpose of conducting the City Administrator's <br />2001 GOALS performance evaluation as well as review of goals for 2001. <br />The Council reviewed the staffing change that will be effective January 15C <br />wherein the Parkkeeper will report to the Parks & Recreation Director <br />rather than the Public Works Director. The City Administrator indicated <br />that he felt that the change was needed from an efficiency standpoint given <br />that most direction for parks maintenance comes from the Parks & <br />Recreation Director. The Council reviewed the history of the position, <br />and agreed that the change should be implemented. If the efficiency is not <br />improved, this decision can be revisited at a later date. <br />Council reviewed a number of items relating to the City's redevelopment <br />efforts. The first related to redevelopment of the northeast corner of Rice <br />Street and Little Canada Road. It was noted that the listing agreement on <br />this property expires on February 10`h. It was the consensus of the <br />Council that the agreement not be renewed. <br />The City Administrator indicated that some interest has been expressed <br />directly to the City relative to this property.
