MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />DECEMBER 20, 2000 <br />RESOI. UTION NO. 2000-12-303 -APPOINTING DAVID GREYAND <br />ROBERT SCHABACICER TO THREE YEAR TERMS ON THE <br />PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION EFFECTIVE JANUARY I, <br />2001 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen. <br />Ayes (5) Morelan, Pedersen, Scalze, Fahey, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />It was noted that there is one vacancy on each of the Commissions. Staff <br />requested authority to re-advertise these vacancies. <br />Mr. Pedersen introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2000-12-304 -AUTHORIZING CITY STAFF TO <br />READVERTISE THE VACANCIES ON THE PLANNING <br />COMMISSION AND THE PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fahey. <br />Ayes (5) Pedersen, Fahey, Scalze, Morelan, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />FIRE The City Administrator recommended approval of a loan agreement with <br />DEPARTMENT the Little Canada Fire Deparhnent relative to a problem with the City's <br />LOAN ownership of two certificates of deposit at the same financial institution. <br />AGREEMENT Under the agreement, the Little Canada Fire Department would become <br /> owner of one of the certificates, thus preventing a finding in the City's <br /> audit report or a penalty to the City in cashing the certificate before it <br /> matures. There would not be a negative financial impact to either entity as <br /> a result of this transaction. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESO/. UTION NO. 2000-72-305 -APPROVING THE LOAN <br />AGREEMENT WITH TIIE LITTLE CANADA FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />AS RECOMMENDED BYTHE CITYADMINISTRATOR AND <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITYADMINISTRATOR TO <br />EXECUTE TFIE AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF <br />LITTLE CANADA <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Scalze, Pedersen, Morelan, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />14 <br />
