LaValle pointed out the $9001iquor license fees paid by My Le Ho that staffused as a comparison, noting that My Le Ho is not required to have an off-duty police officer on site during banquets. Conroy reported that the previous operator of the rental hall informed him that the hall was typically rented for 50 events each year. Adamson indicated that a $900 fee may be reasonable, but requested that the fee be less than that for the first year while he is establishing his business. The City Attorney explained the State Statute that establishes a Caterer's Permit that can be issued to holders of On-Sale Liquor Licenses who also operate restaurants. It was noted that the Council has the authority to regulate this business under the Conditional Use Permit rather than establish a separate liquor license which addresses caterers as outlined in the City Attorney's letter dated November 1, 2000. There was no one from the general public present wishing to comment on this matter. Upon motion by Morelan, seconded by LaValle, the public hearing was closed.
