May 4, 2000 <br />PROPOSED ORDINANCE CHANGE -CITY OF LITTLE CANADA <br />Required Parking Spaces <br />Public Parks. Playgrounds and Playfield <br />Neighborhood Parks: Neighborhood parks are intended to serve neighborhood residents <br />who live within walking and biking distance of the park. These parks <br />should be well served by trails and sidewalks. <br />No off-street parking is required. <br />Community Parks: <br />Athletic Fields: <br />Community parks are intended to serve the entire City. They should <br />be connected to City-wide trail systems and have off-street parking. <br />Required parking: 5 spaces per acre. <br />Athletic fields serve both City residents and competing teams. They <br />should be connected to City-wide trail systems and have off-street <br />parking. <br />Required parking: 5-8 spaces per acre depending on available <br />street parking or overflow parking. <br />When a public recreation site has more than one (1) use designation, the areas must be divided for <br />determining the required parking space. <br />
