MINUTES
PLANNING COMMISSION
AUGUST I1, 2000
Valento pointed out that he is proposing a 3 foot separation between the
principle building and the accessory building. The accessory building
wall adjacent to the principle building will be fire-rated.
Keis asked if it were possible to make the accessory building any smaller.
Valento indicated that he had wanted a 26 foot wide building, but has
reduced it to 24 feet. He pointed out that the power pole on the lot is
actually 8 feet into his property. Therefore, he has reduced the size of the
building rather than incur additional costs in moving the power pole.
Keis asked if the accessory building was proposed to expand the business
operation, or if it would be used for storage. Valento replied that the
accessory building would be used for storage only.
Duray asked what type of materials would be used in constructing the
accessory building. Valento replied that the building would be wood-
frame with metal siding that would match the principle building as close
as possible.
Montour recommended approval of the Conditional Use Permit allowing
an accessory building in the side yard forward of the rear line of the
principle building for 3179 Spruce Street as requested by Mr. Valento
subject to compliance with the recommendations of the City Planner.
Motion seconded by Knudsen
Motion carried 6 - 0.
ADJOURN Mr. Montour recommended that the meeting be adjourned.
Motion seconded by Carson.
Motion carried 6 - 0.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:17 p.m.
Respectfully sub/m~jtted,
Kathy Gler ~S
Deputy Clerk
