Regular Meeting - l.y 6, 1954 Upon motion by Spooner, seconded by Nadeau, it was "RESOLV}~~D, That the village accept a deposit of Three Hundred Dollars (~,300.00) in cash from Mr. Don Roberts and that the village proceed to complete the conatruction and oiling of Gervais Creek Road after the depos9.t is .received by the village clerk." Ayes - 4 Nays - 0 The resolution was adopted. Mr, Carley informed the Cour!ci1 that the building code is ready for adoption and he indicated that the publication of th9.s code would be quite expensive. He suggested that a.11 the vil- lages and townships together should pub7_ish the code and thereby distribute the cost. He also suggested that the Council set an early date for the purpose of holding a meeting to adopt this code. There wa.s some discussion and the Council took the rnatte,r under ad- visement, The clerk read. a letter from Mr. Carley referring to a street that had been graded a year ago by Gordon Nadeau. Mr. Carley suggested that the village accept a casri deposit in the sum of 'i~250.00 to oil, sand and gravel this street which is named Australian Avenue and that the village should ttt}ie over the work of completing the road, Upon motion by Spooner, seconded by Vitale, it was "RESCLVr;D, That the village accept a cash de- posit of Two Hundred f'if'ty Dollars (~':s250.00) from Gordon Nadeau and upon receipt of such deposit the village should proceed to 09.1 and. gravel Australian Avenue." Ayes - 4 Nays - 0 The resolution was adopted. Mr. Lond:tn, building inspector, informed the Council he .has had comr~laints that the county assessor's office is re-checking the village assessor on personal property tax a.ssessrlents, Upon rnot9.on by Nadeau, seconc3.ed by Vitale, it oras "RESULVLD, That the clerk write to the Ramsey County Assessor's office asking for an explanation oP this double check."
