Council also
adopted the code it would find. itself in the pecul.ia.r position of
being completely surrounded by other municipalities having the code
and it would have nothing. M'.r. Vitale and. other rnembers commented
that since the annual license fee had been reducod from the X35.00
figure originally proposed down to the present figure of X51?.00,
thaat they have no further ob,ject3.on to the licensing feature, It
was then decided that the code should be adopted so that it could
be placed in proper 1ega7.. form for adoption as an ordinance a.t
the next meeting; of the Council.
Upon motion by Loeffler, seconded by Spooner, it was
"RESOLVED, That the nec,T building code a.s sub-
mitted by ]signer Y~7. Carley, the village engineer,
be adopted and that 1t be referred to Mr, Nemmer,
the village attorney, with instructions to set it
up in the form of an ordinance repealing any other
ordinances that should be repealed. and -return it
to the Council at i.ts next regular meeting so that
it can be then passed a.s an ordinance."
Ayes -~ 4 Nays - 0
The resolution wa.s adopted.
[7p on motion by Vitale, seconded by Spooner, the meeting
adjourned at B;4{) P.Nt.
Respectfully submitted,
,!, ~
~~-~
S.
