MINUTES OF THE MEETING <br />OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE <br />VILLAGE OF LITTLE CANADA <br />The regular meeting of the Council of the Villa e of Lit- <br />tle Canada was held at the Little Canada Fire Station on ~uesday, <br />January 1+, 1955 at 7:30 P.M. The following Council members were <br />present: <br />Louis W. Melancon, Mayor; Roy Y. Nadeau, Clerk; <br />Edward R. Loeffler, Carl Spooned, Johrr M. Vitale, <br />Trustees. <br />Also present were Fred P. Mernmer, Village Attorney, Oscar F. Londin, <br />building Inspector, Albert C. Johnson, Electrical Inspector, and <br />Ernest Ehnstrom, Treasurer. <br />The oath of office was administered to officials who were <br />elected on December 7, 1951. S~-corn in were Roy P. Nadeau, Clerk, <br />John Vitale, Trustee, Joseph Ornan, Justice oP Peace, and Joseph Auge, <br />Canst.ablev These newly elected officials each signed a written copy <br />of his oath of office, all of which were filed with 1a~e Clerk as a <br />permanent record of the Village. <br />The minutes of the last. meeting were read and approved. <br />Upon motion by Nadeau, seconded by Vitale, it was <br />"RESOLVED, That. Carl Spooner be appointed as <br />acting mayor to act in the absence of the Mayor f'or <br />the year 195j." <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 <br />The resolution vras adopted. <br />Upon motion by Loeffler, seconded by Vitale, it was <br />"RESOLVED, That Philip O. Ducharme be appointed <br />as assessor for the Village of Little Canada for the <br />year 1955." <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 <br />The resolution was adopted. <br />Upon irotion by Spooner, seconded by Loeffler, it was <br />"RESOLVED, That the Clerlt be and is hereby <br />authorized to obtain bonds for the village offi- <br />cials who are required by law to be bonded." <br />Ayes - 5 Nays «- 0 <br />~. <br />The resolution vas ~,~~t,~ed. ~~ ° <br />~: <br />
