MINUTES OP 1'IiE 11iEETING <br />OF THE VIL]..AGE COUNCIL OF THF_' <br />VILLAGE Oi' LITTLE CANADA <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Council of the Viilaye of L.itt.le <br />Canada. was held at the Little Canada Fire 1ia11 on 'T'uesday, September <br />6, 1955 at 7130 P.M. The following Council members were present: <br />Louis w. Melancon, Mayor; Roy P. Nadeau, Cler}t, <br />Edward R. Loeffler, Carl Spooner, John M, Vitale, <br />Trustees. <br />Also present were Al Johnson, Electrical Inspector, Oscar Londin, Build- <br />ing Inspector, Louis Jesperson, Road Supervisor, and Fred P< Memmer, <br />Vi 11age 1-lttorney. <br />Minutes of the meeting of August 5th were approved as read. <br />Pursuant to notice posted in accordance with the zoning laur, <br />the time for hear°ing came on to consider rezoning of the property on <br />Rice Street at the corner cf Hanna (ungraded) from Residential to <br />Commercial. 'Che Mayor asked if any persons were present who wished <br />to be heard on this proposed rezoning. Mr. Albert Kuhlman, owner of <br />the property in question, explained that. he wished the rezoning to <br />ta1Te place in order to construct, a filling station and garage on his <br />property at that location. There were no objections either oral or <br />written. The Clerk advised the Council that proper notices had been <br />posted pursuant to the provisions of th.e zoning ordinance. <br />Upor. motion by Nadeau., seconded by Vitale, it eras <br />"RESOI..VED, That the property described as: <br />The Two acres North of the S. 2/5 of Lot, <br />`7 in Block 2 of the North Park and the <br />Nz of the S. 2/~ of Lot 7, Block 2, Nori:h <br />Park, according to the recorded plat <br />thereof' on file and of rer,ord in. the of- <br />fice of.' the Register of ])eeds within and <br />for Ramsey County, Minnesota; <br />be an<I is hereby rezoned from Residential t.o Commer- <br />cial and the Clerk is instructed to send the proper <br />notices to the County Engineer and the County Auditor." <br />Ayes - ~ Nays - 0 <br />'Phe resoltction was adopted. <br />Mr. T~ouglas warden presented himself to the Council and called <br />attention to the fact that he had cornpieted the construction of the <br />connecting linlt between Noel Street and Old Centerville Road through <br />his property. He explained that there was some disagreement. between <br />lrirnself and the Village Engineer as to the construction of the culvert <br />under this new road'`Yrrough which Gervais Creek normal.l.y flows.
