Nadeau presented the application of Fran;t Brausen for <br />an on-sale liquor license to be issued to him conditionally with <br />final approval to be given when he has obtained suitable premises® <br />Several. members of the Council indicated that wire Brausen had bean <br />in contact with them personally and had stated that, he was in the <br />process of obtaining property upon which to construct a building to <br />be used as an. on-sale baz~ but that he could not proceed with the <br />purchase of property or construction of the building uratil he ]anew <br />that he could have a license, I'he village attorney was questioned <br />as tv whether or Trot the Village could issue f.he license under these <br />conditions. The attorney explained that tyre Council could adopt a <br />resolution, the terms of which would provide that IVr< Brausen would. <br />be ,granted the licen:;e with the unde•rstand.ing that it vaoulcl be fin- <br />ally approved by the Council and issued to him at the time, his pre- <br />mises are approved and the ivca,tion made l~nown®,~ . <br />lJpon rnotion by Vitale, seconded by Nadeau, it was <br />"RESOLVEI:), That an on-sale intoxicating liquor <br />license be granted to Prank Brausen subject l,o the <br />Following conditions: <br />1) That Mr. Brausen pay the license fec; of Seven <br />Hundred Fifty and 00100 (~[;750.U0) Dollars covering <br />the entire period v:E' October 13, 1955 to June 30, <br />1956 f'or which no refund would be granted for a.ny <br />part of th.e time that he was not actually operating; <br />2} That the Clerk notify Mr. Brausen that his <br />license application has been approved and that tl;? <br />completed is"sense will be issued to h.tm when he has <br />obtained a location for t11e use of the license and <br />the location bras been approved by tiro Cvunr.ii." <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 <br />The r.•esvlution was adopted. <br />The Cl.erlc advised the Council. that he also h.ad an applir.aw <br />lion from Mr. Awe s"or an on-sale liquor. license to be used in the <br />premises now known as the Aragon Club, Inasmuch as th.e State laur <br />
