The following Council membc;rs were pre- <br />sr-,ni;. <br />Louis W. Melancon, iUayor; Roy P. Nadeau, Clerk; <br />Carl Spooner, John. Vi. tale, 'trustees, <br />Ed Loeff'l.er, `lrusi;ee, was absent. Also present were 1^red P. Nemmer, <br />Vi.ilage Attorney, and Louis ,lesperson, Road Supervisor. <br />The minutes of th<; regular meeting of November lst anal <br />the special incetinq of November 1.6ttz were approved as read. <br />ilQr. Joseph Oman, Justice; of Peace, was present, and explained <br />the payment of certain fines which had been imposed by him on cases <br />brought. to his court by deputy sheriffs. iV;r. Oman had remitted the <br />fines to the Village Treasurer whereas they should Yra.ve been forwarded <br />to the Cor.znty 't'reasurer. <br />Upon motion by Vitale, seconded by ]Nadeau, it vans <br />"RESOLVED, That the Clerk and Treasurer be <br />and are hereby authorized and i.nstruct.ed to pay <br />to tyre Couni;y of Ramsey the money erroneously <br />paid into the Village Treasury by Joseph Oman, <br />Justice of Peace, and said officers are hereby <br />instructed to forward a checle :Poe the sum due <br />to i;he County." <br />.Ayes -• L~_ Nays _ 0 <br />'T'he resol.ul.ior. was adopted. <br />Ur. Nadeau explained that he ha.d received a check from the <br />Northern States Power Company .in September in tyre amount of ~br,31a_5.,5G <br />and that. he ha.d received information now from the Village <br />Engineer and T;he Northern States Power Company that, the, remittance by <br />the Northern States Power Company was made in error. The sum for <br />which i;he company remitted in i;oi;al involved payments to Roseville, <br />Little Canada and New Canada Township. `the amount owing to Little <br />Canada was actually ~2f~.j.00, rot.lowing this explanation the. Counc.ii <br />agreed that, remittance should be made without delay but that the <br />Northern States Power Company ought to send a letter of explanation <br />to have in our files. <br />iJpon motion. by Vitale, sec, onded by Spooner, it was <br />"RESOLVED, That the Clerk and 'Pr¢asurer are, <br />hereby authorized and instr•uctcd to reimburse the <br />
