January 8, 197 - Regular Pdleeting <br />The resolution was adopted. <br />Upori motion by Nadeau, seconded by Spooner, it was <br />"RESOLVED, That tUlichael Stzynske be and is here- <br />by appointed Weed Inspector for the Village of Little <br />Canada." <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 <br />TIZe resolution was adopted. <br />The C1E;rk called the attention of the Council to the fact <br />that the Gas Inspector has not performed his duties properly and <br />that some other person should be interviewed for this appointment. <br />There were no candidates or qualified persons available so the appoint- <br />ment of G'as Inspector was tabled until next month. <br />Upon motion by Nadeau, seconded by Loeffler, it was <br />"RESOLVED, That Myers Frattalone be and is here- <br />by appointed as Chief of Police for the Village of <br />Little Canada and other persons previously holding <br />police appointments be not re-appointed-but that <br />they be notified by setter of their terminatfon <br />and thanked for services rendered." <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 <br />The resolution was adopted. <br />Upon motion by Nadeau, seconded by Spooner, it was <br />"RESOLVED, That the compensation of the Chief <br />of Police, remain temporarily on the same basis as <br />established during the year 1956, at least wltil <br />sack time as any changes are made in the Police De- <br />partment setup for the Village." <br />Ayes - ~ Nays - 0 <br />'T'he resolution was adopted. <br />Upon motion by Nadeau, seconded by Spooner, it was <br />"RESOLVED, That William Raschick, Ralph Heilman, <br />14~alter Coenen and Fred P. Mernmer (as Chairman) be <br />and are hereby appointed a committee of four to <br />study the police requirements of the Village and <br />gather such :('acts and information as they deem per- <br />tinent and to make a report with recommendations to <br />the Council concerning policing within the Village <br />and the organization of the Village Police DeparC- <br />men.t, and that such report be made not 1ate.r than <br />three (3) months from date." <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 <br />The resolution was adopted. <br />I~ _ <br />
