January 8, 197 - Regular Pdleeting The resolution was adopted. Upori motion by Nadeau, seconded by Spooner, it was "RESOLVED, That tUlichael Stzynske be and is here- by appointed Weed Inspector for the Village of Little Canada." Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 TIZe resolution was adopted. The C1E;rk called the attention of the Council to the fact that the Gas Inspector has not performed his duties properly and that some other person should be interviewed for this appointment. There were no candidates or qualified persons available so the appoint- ment of G'as Inspector was tabled until next month. Upon motion by Nadeau, seconded by Loeffler, it was "RESOLVED, That Myers Frattalone be and is here- by appointed as Chief of Police for the Village of Little Canada and other persons previously holding police appointments be not re-appointed-but that they be notified by setter of their terminatfon and thanked for services rendered." Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 The resolution was adopted. Upon motion by Nadeau, seconded by Spooner, it was "RESOLVED, That the compensation of the Chief of Police, remain temporarily on the same basis as established during the year 1956, at least wltil sack time as any changes are made in the Police De- partment setup for the Village." Ayes - ~ Nays - 0 'T'he resolution was adopted. Upon motion by Nadeau, seconded by Spooner, it was "RESOLVED, That William Raschick, Ralph Heilman, 14~alter Coenen and Fred P. Mernmer (as Chairman) be and are hereby appointed a committee of four to study the police requirements of the Village and gather such :('acts and information as they deem per- tinent and to make a report with recommendations to the Council concerning policing within the Village and the organization of the Village Police DeparC- men.t, and that such report be made not 1ate.r than three (3) months from date."
